About this object

Bronze medal struck on order of Nicholas I upon completion of the triumphal arch set up in St. Petersburg in memory of the Russian victories in Persia, Turkey and Poland in the years 1826-1831. On obverse is a picture of the triumphal arch which was begun in 1834 and completed in 1838. On reverse is an inscription between two clusters of military trophies.
