This desk sculpture is composed of a piece of rock crystal intended to look like a block of ice upon which a gilt bronze figure and a seal are mounted. The kneeling figure, an Aleut seal hunter, is wearing a hooded fur coat and boots and holds a pick ax in his proper right hand.
