About this object

In Empire style. The frame has two main areas-at the top a six-pointed star shape with leaf-shaped projections in gilt bronze between the points. Each arm of the star supports a fringe of glass prism. At the bottom is a bigger area with a similar fringe on a zigzag mount. Strings od glass beads around the shaft descend from the star to connect with two tiers of candle-shaped lights above the fringe. The upper tier has six lights, the lower has twelve.
