About this object

The lamp is tall. The shade is covered with beige lace backed by beige silk crepe and with a ruffle at the bottom edge. The stem is made from brass. It is topped by a crown of acanthus leaves and berries. The upper half of the shaft has spiral fluting which ends in a flame at the center. The bottom half is triangular and decorated with swags of laurel leaves. It ends in a tripod base that has scrolls with acanthus leaves between them, all resting on a plinth.
