About this object

The miniature is set within a rectangular frame. The frame is made from ormolu with a beaded inner edge. The outer edge looks like a coiled ribbon. The miniature shows Nedenia as a child. She sits on a swing and holds a flower in her left hand. There is a ring at the top of the frame in order to suspend the miniature from an armature. The armanture is rectangular in shape. There is a bow knot at the top from which extends scrolls and two columns on the sides. These are set in two round pieces of pink marble which have ormolu beading on the bottom. They are joined with scrollwork.
