On the main portion is a circular miniature painted on mother-of-pearl under mica representing the Virgin and Child bust length, a green paste imitating an emerald on each of the four sides encircled by pastes imitating diamonds and in between a decorative motif also in diamond pastes. Above is the Imperial crown also in diamond and emerald pastes.
