About this object

Rectangular silver frame with two hinged shatters hold closed by the latch hidden in the decorative acantus leaves finial in gilt brass. On the exterior shutters outlined with acantus border are decorated with gilt brass applique of a basket filled with flowers and fruits and a garland suspended from each corner. Reverse side of each shutter is engraved with arabesque motifs. When opened the frame reveals engraved sign that reads: " DO NOT DISTURB RESTING".
