About this object

The coconut is carved with three medallions, each with the busts of an emperor or empress, Peter I, Catherine I and Elizabeth, and each inscribed on a banderoll across the top with name and title. Peter wears a laurel wreath on his head, Catherine I has a star of an Imperial Order on her dress and Elizabeth wears the chain and badge of the Order of St. Andrew First Called. The coconut is mounted in silver with a baluster stem and a round base.
