About this object

This vermeil frame is decorated with a pattern of squares with reeding running vertically and horizontally in alternate squares. At top is a crown in silver gilt and red enamel with two ribbons. The frame contains an inscribed black and white photograph of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
