The box is rectangular in shape with the corners cut off. The cover and the front and back sides have an assortment of animals in relief and gilded. The sides of the cover have floral and leaf scrolls. The cut off corners have plant motifs. The end panels have relief with animals in a landscape. All the panels are bordered with garnets. Interior is gilded.
