About this object

The vinaigrette is a rectangular box which is engraved on the cover with a diaper pattern and fretwork enclosing fleurettes and a reserved panel in the center with illegible initials. On the bottom is a formal motif in the center. The openwork inner cover is engraved with flowers and gilded.
