About this object
The mother-of-pearl handle is mounted in silver gilt at either end decorated with strap-work. At the tip are the initials [transcription], on either side with the Imperial crown projecting from the end of the handle. The steel blades are marked [transcription] for Nichols and Plinke, the same firm that made the lapis-lazuli cabinet.
