About this object

Tiny gold frame is enamelled in pink over an engraved ground with a circlet of tiny diamonds on inside and above a red gold bowknot. Frame rests on a bowknot and leaves carved in red and green gold. All this rests on a white agate pedestal with three ball feet in gold. About the pedestal are swags of drapery and flowers carved in red, green and white gold and suspended from three tiny cabochon rubies. The frame is set with a miniature of Prince Nikolai Iusupov. Miniature is not original to frame.
