About this object
The rectangular box is composed of ten thin slabs of bloodstone. There are two each for the following: top, bottom, front and back, and one piece for each end. These are mounted in a gold cage. The two pieces for the cover and bottom are joined together by a thin gold line. All the gold mounting as seen from the sides of the box are chased with various scrolls and foliage.
