Hillwood members are invited to explore the gardens in the evening and enjoy the newest exhibition Rich Soil before its official opening on June 26.
Friday, June 25, 2021 | 5:30-7:30 p.m. (Sold Out)
Three-dimensional wire sculptures by contemporary American artist Kristine Mays will emerge throughout the gardens for this enchanting exhibition. Springing to life throughout the 13 acres of formal gardens, 29 sculptures will surprise visitors as they dance in the garden beds, bursting forth from the plant life. Explore these figures as they transform the grounds for the second ever installation of art in the gardens.
Reservations are required.
Hillwood members at every level can register online through their May 26 email invitation. Merriweather To Go and the museum shop will be open until 7:30 p.m., and those in attendance will also have special access to the mansion and Adirondack building to explore the concurrent exhibitions on view at Hillwood. Please note: the new exhibition will also be available to view early during general visiting hours on both Thursday, June 24, and Friday, June 25, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
