Wire Art Workshop on the Lawn

Enjoy creating art from wire, inspired by artist Kristine Mays and her wire sculptures displayed in the exhibition Kristine Mays: Rich Soil.

Have fun twisting, bending, and looping wire to form trees and flowers, taking inspiration from nature and the gardens in which Rich Soil is displayed. Then design your own wire masterpieces that you can display, or turn into a pin, pendant, or keychain.

Pick up individually packaged supplies, including step-by-step instructions for completing the project, to enjoy creating outdoors on the spacious Lunar Lawn. Each group will be seated at their own physically distanced table. Museum educators will be nearby to answer questions and offer assistance.

While here, explore the exhibitions Rich Soil as well as Roaring Twenties: The Life and Style of Marjorie Merriweather Post, and enjoy a meal at the Merriweather Café.

Recommended for ages 5 and up.

Reservations are recommended, due to limited capacity. Please include your entire party in your reservation to ensure you are seated together at your own physically distanced table. A table seats 2-10 people.
