Floral Design How-To: Summer Scents Floral Design

Learn to use summer’s extraordinary bounty of fragrant fruit and herbs to create a refreshing floral arrangement.

Join Ami Wilber, floral and event décor designer, for this forty-five minute demonstration hosted via Zoom. This program includes an illustrated presentation on the principles of floral design, along with a step-by-step guide to creating your own arrangement.  Ami will create an arrangement in real time, and participants will have ample opportunities to ask questions. 

This workshop is limited to 30 participants. Supplies are not included, but a materials list will be emailed to registered users prior to the program for those who wish to follow along with Ami and begin their own arrangement during Ami’s demonstration.

CONNECTING WITH ZOOM

This virtual workshop is presented live via Zoom. The online "waiting room" opens at 1 p.m. and the workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to join with video; questions can be submitted via the chat feature. Please note that this workshop will be recorded.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Ami WilberAmi Wilber became the floral and event décor designer at Hillwood in November 2016. Ami has over twenty-five years of experience as a floral designer. She received a bachelor's degree in fine art from Miami University of Ohio and a Master's of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology, School for American Crafts. Prior to joining Hillwood, Ami created sculptures and exhibited her installations at galleries and public spaces in Washington, DC.
