This made to measure silk day dress with matching jacket has a grey ground with a dispersed floral patter. The biased cut symmetrical dress has shor sleeves and a moderately full organza-lined skirt. The sleeves an dbodice are cut in one piece with a separate underarm gusset. A modified scoop neck culminates in a decorative 1 1/2" reticulated grey bow. An open simulated collar detail continues to a princess seam over the bust area, workign in tandem with the center seam and rouched bust detail to shape the bodice. The dress closes with two zippers, one in the center back bodice and one side zipper from under the arm to the lower hip on the proper left. A hook and eye completes the closure above the central zipper. The matching silk lined box jacket utilized princess line constructio. The 3/4 sleeves are cut in one with the jacket's body witha separate underarm gusset, matching the dress's construction. The portrait collar sits below the velvet bow located on the dress. The jacket is constructed with princess line seams and nine weights in total are placed at the bottom of every seam between the exterior and interior lining. Four metal fabric-covered 3/4 " buttons close at the center with corresponding bound button holes.
