About this object
Gates consist of two gates at main entrance, two side doors at main entrance and two gates at service entrance. Said to be Early Georgian, cast in 1735 for Halstead Place, Kent England. Gates are made of wrought iron. Bars are vertical, interspersed with upward pointing arrows. There is a horizontal bar of scrollwork on the lower third of the gates. In the center of the gates, are two vertical scrollwork areas. Gates are topped with scrollwork leading to an apex.
