About this object

The Buddha-hand citron trees have metal trunks and branches. To these are attached leaves in light green jade. The Buddha-hand citrons are carved from carnelian. There are blossoms in white jade. The rectangular bowls are in porcelain enameled with a red ground on which there are birds and floral motifs in various colors. The bowls have four feet. Each bowl rests on a wooden base, well carved to represent a table with four legs.
