About this object

The frame is carved in pale green jade. The carving is in openwork with a design of leaves and long tailed birds. The outer edge is scalloped and banded in beaded metal, as is the straight inner edge. At the top center is an oval medallion in carved carnelian. Contains a photograph of Madame Barzin with her son, Tony as a young boy.
