About this object

The shape is like a flattened oval flask with a ring foot. The entire surface is carved and there are traces of painting. On one side is an adult to the left holding a child with a rattle. In front side, are three children, one with a fish on a stick and one with a ball on a stick. They are all looking upwards at the objects. The background is carved with sexagons filled with rosettes. The other side has an adult standing in the center with a child on each side of him, clutching his skirts. To the left is the trunk of a tree and above him is a branch with flowers. The background is also sexagons with rosettes. Around the oval foot and neck is carved a meander design. The peaked cover sits on a high thin neck and is carved with shingles that culminate in a knob.
