About this object

This is a portrait of Princess Elizabeth, later Elizabeth II. She is dressed in a low-cut dress of lace, with a fitted bodice and full skirt. She is standing by a console table in front of a large round mirror. She wears a tiara and a star of an order pinned on her a blue sash. She also wears a necklace, a brooch on her left shoulder and a bracelet. She holds in her right hand a fan, which rests on the table. Reflected in the mirror are drapes, her back, and a distant landscape. To the right are flowers in a vase.
