About this object

A colored photographic reproduction of a portrait of Winston Churchill. Churchill is wearing a Royal Air Force uniform with many medals and ribbons on his left lapel He is seated in a Queen Anne type armchair. His body faces forwards, while his upper torso and head turn to the right. He holds his spectacles open in his left hand, while his left arm rests on the back of the chair. His right hand rests on his right knee. There is a drapery in the far left background. At the right is a table covered with a cloth on which rests a cigar in an ashtry, and a box of matches. There is a strip of paper attached to the bottom with the autograph of Churchill.
