About this object

Menu of Easter dinner. Head piece shows a Tsar wearing the Monomakh crown and in period costume, leading a procession with a figure at left making the traditional offering of bread and salt. Above is the imperial double headed eagle of Moscow, at sides and below are flowers in the old Russian taste and below, St. George and the Dragon. Bottom of the menu is a piece of red and gold silk brocade.
