About this object

In this miniature icon St. Sergei Radonezhskii and St. German, Archbishop of Kazan stand facing each other on two hillocks, one brown the other mint green, with cinnamon-pink hills in the background. Each is dressed in monastic habits and holds an unfurled scroll. The remains of a sunburst running diagonally across St. German's figure is visible on the now tarnished gold ground. A triple filenka of brown, cinnamon and white frames the icon.
