About this object

Miniature has a narrow oval frame in silver-plated brass which is chased with leaves. At the top is a bow knot with one section forming a loop so that the whole could hang on a ribbon. The miniature represents a bust of a woman. Her hair is dressed high in the 18th century fashion with curls over her shoulders. She is wearing a crown of roses on her hair and a decollete dress with a lacy collar. Background is plain.
