About this object

Oval miniature shows emperor Nicholas I half-length with his head turned to the left. He is dressed in his regimental uniform and wears the blue sash of the Order of St. Andrew and on his breast two stars and two badges of orders. Frame has many decorative patterns in relief and the Imperial crown at top.
