About this object
Oval miniature is of a woman, facing half to the left with her hair dusted gray and dressed high wearing a lace hat with a green bow on top. She wears a pink dress with a lace collar and a green bow on the front. The ormolu frame is in several sections with beading and chiseling, as well as matte and burnished surfaces. At the top is a crown and at either side a spray of laurel leaves. At the back is a hook for hanging.
