About this object

Coach has Oxford London on its side and is drawn by two pairs of horses, the forward ones white and dark brown, the rear pair roan. The coach is driving toward the left and is fording a stream while a boy on horseback in the foreground is speaking and gesticulating to them. There are three coachmen and a woman sitting in the driver's seat, and one standing on the back. In the background to the left are sheep in a field, a wagon pulled by horses, and in the far distance, a village. The right background shows a tree on a hill just behind the coach. In the foregrouns is a small bridge made of twigs and branches leading from a path across the stream.
