This painting depicts a moonlight scene of a small village church in the snow. People are entering the lighted doorway at left. The village is beyond. The painting was purchased from Arpad in Washington, D.C. It had been a gift of Prince Serge Romanov to Madame Walter Tuckerman and came from her husband's estate. It hung in the dining room in Mrs. Post's New York apartment.
