Portrait of Nedenia Hutton Rumbough as a young woman. She is seated three quarters length with her body turned to the right. Her head is facing towards the front. She has chin length hair that is curled, and is wearing a three strand pearl necklace, a low cut pale blue evening gown with cap sleeves, and a bracelet around her right wrist. Her hands, with fingers intertwined, are resting in her lap. In the background to the left hangs a tapestry cord and tassel. Behind her head is a vague opening for a window. To the right is a pillar or part of a wall. To the lower right is a cupid, offering a crown to Deenie, and holding a drape over one shoulder. To the far right is a sketched in landscape with trees and leaves. Nedenia is seated on a couch or chair, the back of which reclines behind her. Iy is covered with a tapestry like fabric.
