About this object

A still life is arranged on top of a shelf or ledge. There is a red curtain behind it at the left. There is a window next to the drape which is partially open. At the far right, a landscape with trees and a blue sky with clouds can be seen through the open window. The vertical window jamb is in the center background. The still life contains bunches of purple and red grapes, a blue and grey pottery tankard on the left, a melon, a pineapple, three peaches, plums, gooseberries and large leaves. A butterfly flies towards the fruit and is seen at the bottom left against the ledge.
