A scene in the Scottish highlands. There are several long-haired horned cattle by the shore of a lake. Four are in the center front, one is to the left and three others are in the distant right. The lake is on the lower left, and the banks are covered with low scrub bruch, which some of the cattle are eating. In the distance are rounded mountains, and the sky is misty with many clouds.
