Portrait of MMP seated on wide yellow chair, in three quarters length. She is facing almost full front. She has grey hair set in upswept curls. She is wearing diamond drop earrings, and a diamond necklace with pendants. Her dress is an off the shoulder grey taffeta dress pinned with an emerald brooch at the top of the bodice. Her left arm is leaning on a gray fur piece which is draped over the arm of the chair. Her right arm is resting in her lap, holding a magenta and white orchid. She wears a bracelet with green stones on her right wrist and a lace edge shawl is draped over her right forearm. There is a diamond bracelet on her left wrist and a marquise diamond ring on her left hand. The background is shaded grey.
