About this object

A portrait of Marjorie Merriweather Post in half length facing full front. Her waved brown hair has a large frosted streak. She is wearing drop pearl earrings, a four strand pearl necklace, a boa of white ostrich feathers over her right shoulder which reveals her bare left shoulder, and a black low cut dress with a white transparent lace frill at edge of bodice. A thin lace strap is visible on her left shoulder. The background is a plain, shaded, brownish color.
