About this object
Summer day wrap in yellow silk printed with a tropical flower motif. The garment is intricately cut and constructed to form a sleeveless underdress with a back panel that forms capelike sleeves and a full skirt which wraps around the body to tie at front waist. The front of the underdress is cut in one, continuous over the shoulders and extending the full length of the back panel. Circular insets add fullness to the skirt of the back panel. Machined pintucks are used to shape the underdress at neck and the overdress at waist.
