About this object

Garment is constructed on a boned, strapless bodice of yellow acetate attached to a shear flesh tone organza shell. An overbodice is decorated with yellow organza flowers sewn on a mint green lace with a leaf pattern. A band of vertically pleated net extends the bodice and forms a wide, scooped neckline and capped sleeves. The skirt is comprised of three layers attached at the waist. The top layer of yellow organza flowers and mint green lace is decorated in the middle with an inset band of pleated net. The second layer is yellow net. The bottom layer or lining is created from a stiff felted paper covered both on the outside and inside with yellow silk acetate. The garment closes at center back with a metal zipper.
