About this object

This sleeveless, floor length evening gown has a cream colored bodice and and a low scoop neckline. A freehanging band of fuschia silk is applied flat at the bottom edge of the bodice. The skirt is attached at the bust line, underneath the fuschia band. A wider band of fuschia trimmed the hem of the flared skirt. Black cotton lace in a floral motif is applied to both bodice and skirt . The lace is embellished with clear plastic bugle and seed beads attached with fuschia thread. Strung red beads, with a large faceted bead at center, hang in a tear drop shape as accents throughout the lace sections. The garment is fully lined with cream colored acetate and has an elasticized, gros grain waist tape. A metal zipper closes the dress at center back.
