About this object

A large framed textile, composed of several pieces sewn together. The first piece on the far left has diamond and circular shapes in blue, pink and brown. The diamond shaped parts show couples in costumes of France and Russia. The circles show the Greek mythological themes of Athena and perhaps Ceres. The next square has a rooster on top of a cannon which is one top of a bouquet of flags with the words Honneur Patrie. The primary colors are red, green and yellow. Underneath this piece is a small piece in yellow and brown with squares showing a boy and girl doing different things. These square are joined by blue ribbons. The central piece shows soldiers in the battle field with cathedrals in the background. The primary colors are pink, blue and grey. Next to this is a piece in red, blue and off white, showing a rooster with the number 75 next to it, over a scene labeled Verdun with the image of a castle. Also in this piece is the image of a helmet and rifle with the letters RF. This is accompanied by a scene with the dates 1914-1916. The final piece to the far right shows roosters with flags and connected by garlands in pink and blue.
