About this object

A cream colored linen bed set consisting of a sheet and two pillow cases. The cuff of the sheet is designed with self-applique, embroidery and drawnwork. The center top of the sheet has the Davies coat of arms in embroidery with raised satin stitched lions. The top and side border has a 5 1/4 inch deep Point de Paris bobbin lace straight edge that is scalloped at the attachment edge. The design of the applique is of festooned appliques alternating with festoons of Point de Paris bobbin lace mesh. Between the festoons are large appliqued flowers. Under the Davies crest is a large appliqued flower motif.
