About this object

A large cream colored silk sheet that is trimmed on the sides with filet lace. In the center of the sheet is a raised embroidered monogram MPD. Thirteen inches on either side of the monogram is a three inch strip of filet lace that runs the whole length of the sheet. The design of this strip is a six-petaled flower alternating with a bud and leaves. Thirty and one half inch on either side of the strips is a 5 inch scalloped filet hem. The design of the filet hem is of a band of scrolling flowers above a band of geometric shapes which is above the hem band of three flowers alternating with spade shaped geometrics. This hem edge is in a scallop which is formed by the design elements. The top and bottom of the sheet do not have the filet trim and are finished in a rolled hem.
