About this object

This liner is composed of the peach silk backing, which is shaped for a drawer or table top, and a lace mat that is stitched to the backing. The design of the mat is of two types of lace: Valencienne bobbin lace and Honiton bobbin lace. The center of the mat has Honiton flower motifs of lilac, daisies and roses appliqued to machine net. Surrounding this center area is a Valencienne bobbin lace edging. At the two top corners of this edging are appliqued Honiton motifs of lilacs and daisies.
