About this object

A weighted drawer liner from Mrs. Post's master bedroom. The backing is a pink silk satin edged with a blue grosgrain ribbon. On top of the backing is a linen and lace cover. The edging of the cover is in Valenciennes bobbin lace. At each corner are half rounds of embroidered linen flowers. These alternate on two sides by half rounds of Cluny bobbin lace on mesh. On the other two sides are triangles between the linen corners. The triangles are Cluny style as well. The center area is open.
