About this object

A cream continuous bobbin lace edging. The mesh is of a Lille type. The design is of a vine with berries that repeats every 5 inches for a total of six and one half repeats. The top edge is straight and is formed by 6 1/2 repeats of leaves that hang down towards the center design. The lower edge is composed of 10 1/2 scallops with four of the scallops designed with a five hole mesh. This edging appears to have been cut from a garment.
