About this object

A white fragment of 18th century Angleterre bobbin lace. The design is has 5 flowers with stems and leaves at the lower edge. Above in the mesh are scattered daisies. The mesh is droschel (two sides are braided) which in this type lace is added after the motifs are created. The bottom of the piece has has pointed leaves forming the border. At the top edge is an engrelure (attachment strip).
