About this object

A round white linen tablecloth (# 4 in linen book 1) with filet lace in a scalloped flower design on the edge. The eyelet body of the cloth is heavily embroidered in a flower design and has heart insets in filet lace that flank larger filet inset of cupids. Between the heart insets are Venetian needle lace classical figures of a woman with a garland of flowers, and a woman holding a vine. The center of the cloth has 4 large filet lace insets of birds with four needle lace insets between the filet. There are alternating designs of these insets. One is of a woman with a jug on her head seen from the side and the other is a woman with a jug on her head seen from the front. The center circle has filet hearts and venetian lace cupids surrounding a central musician done in needle lace. The notation in the linen book indicates this was used at Mar-a-Lago.
