About this object

An ecru French Alencon needle lace edging. The elaborate design is of interlacing strapwork of alternating hanging flower baskets and bundles of pomegranites with needle fillings. These are topped by a leaf spray and flower cluster. The ground is sprinkled with small flower buds of two types. The edge is gently scalloped with strapwork alternating with 3 flowers.
