About this object

An ecru Belgian needle lace edging with original ends. Most of the design has a picoted bar ground. The upper portion of the edging is of 4 stitch clusters. Below that is a scroll design with alternating fillings. There are bar grounds that join fern leaf sprays forming the next section that attach to the dominant design of large paisley motifs. These paisley motifs alternate with rose and leaf designs. Within the roses is a triangle filling. There are some raised button hole edges as perles in the flower centers and throughout, otherwise the design is flat. This is a very fine design work with many varied fillings.
