About this object
An ecru edging of Point de gaze needle lace with both ends original. The upper portion of the design is floral bouquets in curving scallops edged with leaves. Below the bouquets are roundels between each containing a simple sprig. The border is elaborate floral framed ovals with 4 different alternating filling designs. A very fine thread was used to make this edging with a mesh count of 11/10 mm. This is a very delicate design.
